- Dan Navarro is truly one of the most diverse singer-songwriters among us today. From his authorship of the Grammy-nominated song “We Belong” for Pat Benatar, to his writing for Austin legend Rusty Wier, with Jackson Browne and Keb’ Mo’ wedged in between; Dan has come to be one of the most respected and sought after collaborators in the music business.
- As we have gotten to know Dan personally, through our activities with Folk Alliance International, we have been drawn to him and his music on many occasions. When musicians gather, at conferences in an environment of their peers, we would so often find the artists we came to hear in one place. They were all playing with Dan Navarro.
- You may have never heard Dan’s music before, but those of you who were here for his previous concert will attest to the reasons we ask him back. The music Dan brings to the table is outstanding. Dan will be here on Saturday, May 16. You need to be here too.
- For over 20 years Dan collaborated and toured with Eric Lowen. Lowen & Navarro is a name well known in the acoustic Americana world of music. Dan’s other collaborative work has included recording with Neil Young, Jon Anderson of Yes, and with Andrea Bocelli. Beyond his musical work, Dan may have one of the most familiar voices you can never attach a name to. He has been heard as a “voice actor” in hundreds of movies and TV shows. This has included Happy Feet, Ice Age, Rio and Family Guy.
- But it is as a singer-songwriter and guitarist that Dan Navarro’s work continues to enthrall us. If you already know Dan’s music we know you will plan to join us. If Dan’s music is new to you we are delighted to introduce him. We have never steered you wrong before. So, plan on joining us.
